About AppMajlis | Indie App Lounge
AppMajlis is a digital platform dedicated to the world of applications, independent developers, digital marketing, and the craftsmanship of building tech products.
Why “Majlis”?
In Arabic, the word ‘Majlis’ signifies a lounge or a traditional gathering place where people meet to exchange ideas and stories. We envisioned AppMajlis as an ‘Indie App Lounge’—a specialized space where developers and tech enthusiasts gather to discover innovation.
The Mission
The idea was born from the personal experience of Hussain Barakat, an independent iOS developer active in the Apple ecosystem since 2012. Throughout this journey, a recurring challenge became clear: even the most brilliant apps struggle to find their audience in a crowded marketplace.
Today, the App Store hosts over 2.2 million applications. For indie developers and small teams without massive marketing budgets, “discovery” is the ultimate hurdle. At AppMajlis, we aim to bridge this gap by:
- Spotlighting Hidden Gems: Finding high-quality apps that haven’t received the exposure they deserve.
- Empowering Indie Developers: Providing a lounge for developers to showcase their work to a global audience.
- Sharing Insights: Discussing the real-world challenges of app marketing and development.
We don’t just look for what’s trending; we look for the value hidden behind the code.

مجلس التطبيقات مجلة عربية تهتم بعالم التطبيقات، المطورين المستقلين، التسويق الرقمي، وتجارب بناء المنتجات التقنية.
جاءت فكرة الموقع من تجربة شخصية كمطور تطبيقات عربي يعمل على تطبيقات iOS منذ عام 2012، ومن ملاحظة صعوبة وصول التطبيقات الجيدة إلى المستخدمين، خصوصًا عندما تكون من مطورين مستقلين أو فرق صغيرة لا تملك ميزانيات تسويقية كبيرة.
اليوم، أصبح متجر التطبيقات مزدحمًا بملايين التطبيقات (أكثر من 2.2 مليون تطبيق)، ولم يعد نشر تطبيق جيد كافيًا لضمان وصوله للجمهور. كثير من التطبيقات المفيدة قد تضيع وسط هذا الزحام، بينما تتصدر التطبيقات الأكثر شهرة أو الأقوى تسويقًا نتائج البحث وقوائم التحميل.
من هنا جاء هدف مجلس التطبيقات: تسليط الضوء على تطبيقات تستحق الاكتشاف، مشاركة تجارب المطورين، مناقشة تحديات التسويق والنشر، وتقديم محتوى يساعد المستخدمين والمطورين على اكتشاف قيمة حقيقية خلف التطبيقات. نحن لا نبحث فقط عن التطبيقات المشهورة، بل نحاول العثور على الجواهر المخفية التي لم تأخذ فرصتها الكافية في الظهور.
